Can't believe that Eagle Rock in Los Angeles made the list.

Yes, there are a number of nice restaurants along Colorado Blvd in Eagle
Rock now, but the housing and the neighborhood in general has seen better
days. Maybe it's making a comeback, but it still doesn't look that
gentrified compared to Bernal Heights and some other neighborhoods listed in
the article, and crime is still a significant problem in Eagle Rock.

Eagle Rock is becoming the new Silverlake. It is
gentrifying rapidly.

But, it does have a nice selection of restaurants,
including a branch of Tommy's hamburgers.

One of the reasons I still regularly frequent the neighborhood.

But has the crime rate gone down in Eagle Rock? It looks like there's a
good amount of gang-bangers still hanging around its main thoroughfares.

Usually, a sign of a down-and-out neighborhood being gentrified is seeing
women pushing baby-strollers replacing gang-bangers on the neighborhood's
sidewalks. Haven't seen too much of that, yet, in Eagle Rock.
