Help IDing Thai Restaurant on Vermont or Hillhurst

Hi, everyone. I grew up on North Taft Avenue in LA in the 1970s, and
one of my favorite treats was going to a nearby place on (most likely)
Hillhurst or Vermont Ave. for Thai food. My family and I regularly
ate at this little restaurant, where all the severs were beautiful
young Thai women, in the mid-70s.

I'm visiting LA, for the first time in decades, and I'd like to eat at
this restaurant again, assuming it's still there. Does anyone know of
a restaurant that's consistent with the (admittedly sparse) above
information? Thanks for any help.

I recall a small Thai restaurant on Hillurst or Vermont between Los Feliz
and Hollywood Boulevard, so I did a yahoo search and got:

Simply Thai Restaurant (323) 665-6958 1850 Hillhurst Ave, Los Angeles, CA

and

Pattaya Thai Restaurant (323) 666-0880 1727 N Vermont Ave, #105, Los
Angeles, CA

I don't recall if either of those are the ones either you're looking for or
that I ate at, but both got good comments from people and perhaps might be
the one.

Good luck.

Thanks, -a-. Those are good guesses. I'm now convinced, however,
that the place I used to eat at no longer exists. It was called
Tepparod.

Yeah, several websites say Tepparod was on Hollywood Boulevard.
Actually, it was off Vermont Avenue, on a street called Melbourne.

As I recall, there were (at least) two of them. The one on Hollywood Blvd
was called Tepparod Tea House and was one block west of Normandie, IIRC. I
haven't been there in over 20 years, but I can still picture it. It's now
called Kruang Tedd.

Oh, that's right, there was a Tepparod Tea House too! I'm not sure I
ever visited it. I sure loved the restaurant, though.

I *think* I got a look, through Google Maps, "Street View," of the
very building which once was Tepparod Thai.
